Learn about the tornado outbreak that impacted multiple states, causing widespread destruction in Missouri.
Most people in the Ozarks associate April 18, 1880, with the Marshfield Tornado, a devastating F-4 storm that claimed many lives and nearly destroyed the town. However, less known is that a major tornado outbreak across six states began that day, with southwest and central Missouri enduring at least 11 deadly twisters. Author and storyteller Tim Ritter will explore each storm, its path and the destruction it left behind.
