Library staff member Jessica Kershner shares stories and photos from her more than 400-mile cycling trip in 2025 from Buffalo to Albany, New York, completed over 10 days. Joined by a family of four, she recounts highlights from the journey, including memorable stops, changing landscapes and the challenges and rewards of life on the Erie Canal Trail.

Located on the corner of Brentwood Boulevard and Seminole Street, one block east of the intersection of Glenstone Avenue and Seminole Street, the Schweitzer Brentwood Branch Library, renovated in 2016, has served southeast Springfield since 1971. The branch, convenient to such popular shopping centers as the Plaza, Brentwood Center, Battlefield Mall and Primrose Marketplace, is popular with young and old alike.
