Discover the wonders of the night sky with an evening of stargazing and telescope exploration.
Join us on the lawn outside the Schweitzer Brentwood Branch for an evening of stargazing! Members of the Springfield Astronomical Society will provide telescopes, or you can bring your own. View objects in the night sky, ask questions and learn to operate the type of telescope that you can check out from the Library.

Located on the corner of Brentwood Boulevard and Seminole Street, one block east of the intersection of Glenstone Avenue and Seminole Street, the Schweitzer Brentwood Branch Library, renovated in 2016, has served southeast Springfield since 1971. The branch, convenient to such popular shopping centers as the Plaza, Brentwood Center, Battlefield Mall and Primrose Marketplace, is popular with young and old alike.
