Genealogist Michelle Dickens explores the twists, turns and tools of old land maps — and the stories they hold in place.
Michelle Dickens, Certified Genealogist® and member of the Ozarks Genealogical Society, demystifies the metes and bounds land surveying system once used to describe property in early American records. Learn how landmarks, angles and distances shaped winding parcels — and why understanding this method is key to tracing land, inheritance and family ties. Sponsored by the Ozarks Genealogical Society.

In addition, the Library Center includes other amenities characteristic of larger urban libraries. Those features include a 150-seat auditorium, a glass-enclosed reading room and art gallery, a story hour room, outdoor patio and outdoor story garden and the Between Friends Gift Shop.
