Jumpstart your child's reading for back to school with an experienced Reading Buddy! In partnership with the Council of Churches of the Ozarks Reading Buddy Program, each child will be paired with a trained volunteer for a 30-minute practice reading session to get them back into the groove for school. Registered children will receive a free book for each session they attend. Registration for all three consecutive sessions is preferred but not required. Located on the corner of Brentwood Boulevard and Seminole Street, one block east of the intersection of Glenstone Avenue and Seminole Street, the Schweitzer Brentwood Branch Library, renovated in 2016, has served southeast Springfield since 1971.
