Join Elizabeth Exley of GinghamTrundle for an 8-week needle felting workshop focusing on nature-themed 2D and 3D art.
Elizabeth Exley of GinghamTrundle, a Best of Missouri Hands juried artist, will lead an 8-week workshop in needle felting. Participants will learn how to make 2D and 3D felted art, primarily focused on nature. The finished art will be displayed at an art show on September 3 at the Library Station. Provided in partnership with the Advancing Creative Aging Through State Library Leadership Initiative. Registration for the entire 8-week workshop is required. Advancing Creative Aging Through State Library Leadership Initiative is a joint initiative of Califa Group, Wyoming State Library, Missouri State Library and Lifetime Arts. It was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Grant.
The Library Station one of the "destination libraries" in the Springfield-Greene County Library District. The 36,000-square-foot facility houses a large collection of print and electronic resources. The Library Station includes other amenities characteristic of larger, urban libraries. Those features include several large and small meeting rooms, a large, comfortable reading room and a Panera Bread café.
