Author Tim Ritter will discuss how the Dalton Gang attempted to rob two banks at once, leaving only one member surviving.

The Dalton Gang knew about the failure of the Northfield Bank Robbery and how it destroyed the James-Younger Gang, but they thought they could do better. When they tried to knock off two banks at once in broad daylight, it didn't go well and left only one member alive. Using photographs and animated maps, author and storyteller Tim Ritter will recount what happened and where.

The Republic Branch Library opened in 1961 as a consolidation of book deposits held at several locations in this western Greene County city. The branch has relocated five times as use of the library continues to grow.
