Author and archivist Connie Yen will trace the scandal that nearly ruined Emma Molloy's life when her farm became the center of "The Graham Tragedy" in 1886.
In the winter of 1886, George Graham's wife was found dead on the Brookline farm of famed temperance advocate Emma Molloy, igniting a scandal known as "The Graham Tragedy." Using letters, court documents and newspaper accounts, Connie Yen, director of the Greene County Archives and Records Center and author of "Sinner and Savior: Emma Molloy and the Graham Murder," will trace the events that nearly destroyed Molloy's reputation and career. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

The Republic Branch Library opened in 1961 as a consolidation of book deposits held at several locations in this western Greene County city. The branch has relocated five times as use of the library continues to grow.
