Turn a favorite character into a unique work of art using your creativity and fun materials.

Turn a plain silhouette of one of your favorite books or on-screen characters into a colorful, textured work of art. Add buttons and other small items to give your character clothing, a new hat or other accessories. Hot glue will be used; materials will be provided.

About the branch

Located on the corner of Brentwood Boulevard and Seminole Street, one block east of the intersection of Glenstone Avenue and Seminole Street, the Schweitzer Brentwood Branch Library, renovated in 2016, has served southeast Springfield since 1971. The branch, convenient to such popular shopping centers as the Plaza, Brentwood Center, Battlefield Mall and Primrose Marketplace, is popular with young and old alike.
