Take a closer look at a new musical inspired by Ozarks history through music, storytelling and live performance.
Ozarks Lyric Opera presents a lively sneak peek of "Dream Big: A True TALL Tale," a new musical inspired by the life of the Missouri Giantess, Ella Kate Ewing. Children’s author Kate Klise will read from "Stand Straight, Ella Kate," followed by Ruell Chappell of the Ozark Mountain Daredevils, who will share how the show’s music came together with live song examples. Teresa Cotton, visiting from Ella Ewing’s home county, will bring local history to life with a dramatic reading as Ella herself, concluding with a special preview performance by the Ozarks Lyric Opera cast ahead of the world premiere.
