Each speaker will reveal their unique path, discussing the craft, process and challenges of self-publishing versus traditional publishing. Whether you're an aspiring author or simply curious, you'll gain valuable insights from those who’ve lived it.
Connie Yen, author of "Springfield: A Postcard History," "Sinner and Savior" and "Springfield: Past and Present," is an archivist with a passion for history and storytelling. She will discuss her books, the differences between traditional and self-publishing and how each method worked for her.

Located on the corner of Brentwood Boulevard and Seminole Street, one block east of the intersection of Glenstone Avenue and Seminole Street, the Schweitzer Brentwood Branch Library, renovated in 2016, has served southeast Springfield since 1971. The branch, convenient to such popular shopping centers as the Plaza, Brentwood Center, Battlefield Mall and Primrose Marketplace, is popular with young and old alike.
