Explore the art of filmmaking and discover new ways to learn, create and collaborate.
Filmmaking is not only creative and fun, it also teaches real-world skills such as problem-solving, literacy, technology, teamwork, leadership and follow-through. Plotline, a local nonprofit that specializes in filmmaking programs for youth, will guide kids through shooting a real film script, including acting, directing and using equipment. The Library Station one of the "destination libraries" in the Springfield-Greene County Library District. The 36,000-square-foot facility houses a large collection of print and electronic resources. The Library Station includes other amenities characteristic of larger, urban libraries. Those features include several large and small meeting rooms, a large, comfortable reading room and a Panera Bread café.
